For the last few years, Steve Kopandy has been hard to find. Jumping between continents to work
as a composer, producer and performer, and going where the life takes him has its ups and downs. Though for
a real nomad, Kopandy’s music is surprisingly well grounded.
His latest release, a double album entitled 'Based on a True Dream' is a journey through Europe, encountering love, life and lyrics
that could only be inspired by true stories.
Steve is best known for his lyrical piano ballads. ‘Corona and Lime’ for
example, takes place in Berlin. A true story that one might mistake for
a strange dream. Sleeping outside, being approached by a man with a
gun, even kissing beautiful strangers.
